Das Projekt zur Erweiterung des Leibniz Gymnasiums zielt darauf ab, eine zusammenhängende und funktionale Schulanlage zu schaffen und gleichzeitig das Image der Schule zu stärken. Der Entwurf sieht einen viergeschossigen, L-förmigen Neubau vor, der sich harmonisch in den Bestand einfügt, die hellen Fassaden der Schulgruppe fortsetzt und den umgebenden Stadtraum strukturiert.
Die Gestaltung des Geländes beruht auf der Idee eines geschützten Raums, der von der Sporthalle und den Schulgebäuden begrenzt wird. Diese Anordnung bildet eine klare Grenze im Westen und Norden und bietet gleichzeitig einen zentralen, begrünten Hof, der zum Kaiser-Wilhelm-Park als Herz des Campus ausgerichtet ist.

Le projet de l’extension du Leibniz Gymnasium vise à créer un site scolaire cohérent et fonctionnel, tout en renforçant l’image de l’établissement. Le projet prévoit un nouveau bâtiment en L de quatre étages qui s’intègre harmonieusement à l'existant, prolongeant les façades claires du groupe scolaire et structurant l’espace urbain environnant.
La conception du site repose sur l’idée d’un espace protégé, délimité par le gymnase et les bâtiments scolaires. Ce dispositif forme une limite claire à l’ouest et au nord, tout en offrant une cour centrale végétalisée, orientée vers le Kaiser-Wilhelm-Park, comme cœur du campus.

The Leibniz Gymnasium extension project aims to create a coherent, functional school site, while reinforcing the school's image. The project calls for a new four-storey L-shaped building that blends harmoniously with the existing building, extending the school's light facades and structuring the surrounding urban space.
The design of the site is based on the idea of a protected space, delimited by the gymnasium and the school buildings. This forms a clear boundary to the west and north, while offering a planted central courtyard, facing the Kaiser-Wilhelm-Park, as the heart of the campus.
